DESCRIPTION AND PHARMACOLOGICAL CLASS:

Benzimidazoles (Albendazole) are broad-spectrum antiparasitic drugs with high safety margin. They are characterized by its effect against round gastrointestinal parasites and tapeworms, lungworms and liver parasites, cattle, sheep, dogs, and cats.

INDICATIONS:

It is indicated for the treatment of parasitic infestations of lung parasites, such as liver flukes in cattle, buffalo, sheep, camels and goats. It is effective against larval and adult stages of Fasciola Hepatica. It is also used for prevention and treatment of Cobalt deficiency. Prophylaxis and treatment of nematode infestations in calves, cattle, goats and sheep like:

  • Gastrointestinal worms: Bunostomum, Cooperia, Chabertia, Haemonchus, Nematodirus, Oesophagostomum, Ostertagia, Trichostrongylus spp and Strongyloides.
  • Lung worms: Dictyocaulus viviparus and D. filaria.
  • Tapeworms: Monieza spp. Chlonorquis: Adult Fasciola Hepática.

DOSE AND ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION:

Oral administration: Cattle: 1ml/25 kg of body weight (5mg/kg of body weight). Sheep and Camels 1ml/35kg of body weight (3.8 mg/kg of body weight).

WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS:

Keep products safely stored. Store them out of reach of children and animals.

WITHRAWAL PERIOD:

  • Meat: 12 days.
  • Milk: 4 days.

STORAGE:

Storage in dry and cool places. Protected from direct sunlight. Store between 0° and 30°C.
