DESCRIPTION:

A long lasting strong anti-inflammatory drug for all species.

INDICATIONS:

Dexamethasone Umavet® is indicated for acute or chronic inflammatory processes of various etiologies, ketosis, and therapeutic support downer cow. Inductor of birth in ruminants and swine.

DOSE AND ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION:

• Intravenously and intramuscularly.
• Cattle: 4-10 ml. Horses. Horses: 2-5ml and minor species: 1ml as a single dose or divided every 12 hours.
• Dogs and Cats: 0.5 to 1 ml per every 10 kg/body weight or Veterinarian’s criterion in charge.

SIDE EFFECTS:

Side effects are generally associated with prolonged treatment, especially at high doses without respecting the indication of alternate days and gradually decreasing it.

It can be seen teratogenic effects in mass treatment in females with early pregnancy.

PRECAUTIONS:

Do not use in pregnant animals.

WITHRAWAL PERIOD:

• Meat: 5 days.
• Milk: 72 hours.
