ESTRADIOL

COMPOSITION:

  • Estradiol Benzoate...........................2.5 mg
  • Oil for injection q.s..............................1 ml

SPECIES:

Cattle, goats, cats, dogs, horses, pigs and sheep.

ACTION:

Use of Estradiol Benzoate upon application of progestogen (considered this as day 0) causes a new follicular wave; the application of Estradiol Benzoate to the progestogen extraction induces a pre-ovulatory peak of the hormone LH through a positive feedback mechanism of Estradiol on GnRH and LH hormone, resulting in a very efficient and high synchronicity of ovulations.

INDICATIONS:

In cases of anoestrus, postpartum, silent estrus, estrus synchronization, optimizing reproductive outcomes of treatment with progestins, is applied in the treatment of placentas and pyometras retained.

GENERAL DOSE:

Cattle:

  • Estrus Incitement: 5mg.
  • Retained Placenta: 5-10mg.

Horses:

  • For Ovulation: 5-10mg.
  • Labor Induction: 5mg.
  • 14-24 hours before the Oxytocin Injection.

    • Goats and Sheep:

    • Anoestrus: 1.5mg
    • Repeat 2-5 days later.

    Dogs and cats:

  • Anal Adenoma, Prostate hyperplasia, hyper sexuality: 1-2mg. Repeat 1 month later.

    • ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION:

    Intramuscularly.

    WARNINGS:

    Do not apply in prolapses after delivery. Ovarian cysts.
    It has no side effects.
