DESCRIPTION AND PHARMACOLOGICAL CLASS:

Fipronil belongs to the class of pesticides called phenyl pyrazole. It is mainly about herbicidal chemicals (1). Fipronil, however, acts as an insecticide; its action is performed by contact. In small amounts is water soluble (2); It is stable at normal temperature for one year, but is not stable in the presence of metal ions and with sunlight degrades and produces various metabolites, one of which (Fipronil-desulfinyl [MB 46513]) is extremely stable and more toxic than the parent compound.

INDICATIONS:

Fipropet is indicated for the treatment and control of fleas (ixodicide) tick, and chewing lice and flies small species and to control allergic dermatitis by fleas.

DOSE AND ADMINISTRATION:

The recommended dose is 1 ml per 10 kg of body weight, corresponding to 10 mg per kg of Fipronil. Apply Fipropet topically along the back on the line from the withers to the base of the tale.

PRECAUTIONS:

• Avoid contact with animal’s eyes at the time of application.
• If contact with eyes, rinse with abundant water for at least 15 minutes.
