DESCRIPTION:

Vitamin K, also known as Phytomenadione or antihemorrhagic vitamin, is a chemical compound derived from 2-methyl-naphthoquinone. They are lipid soluble vitamins, mainly required in processes of blood clotting.

INDICATIONS:

It is indicated for bleeding disorders caused by the defective formation of factors II, VII, IX and X when caused by vitamin K deficiency or interference with activity of Vitamin K.

It is indicated in cattle, calves, horses, pigs, sheep, goats, dogs and cats in accidental poisoning with rodenticides.

It is also indicated to counter hypoprothrombinemia caused by ingesting bishydroxycoumarin in poor conditions and moldy sweet clover.

DOSE AND ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION:

Intramuscular, subcutaneous. Apply 1ml per every 10 kg of body weight.

  • Sale under medical prescription.
  • Do not use in animal with known hypersensitivity.

WITHRAWAL PERIOD:

Meat: 1 day.

STORAGE:

Store in dry and cool places. Protected from direct sunlight. Store between 0° and 30°C.

ADVERSE REACTIONS:

  • It can cause pain, swelling and tenderness at the injection site. Intramuscular injection can cause bruising.
  • Keep in mind the possibility of allergic sensitivity including anaphylaxis.
