DESCRIPTION:

Ketoprofen 10% Umavet® is a potent non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent, analgesic and anti-endotoxic that inhibit acid decomposition pathways of arachidonic acid of cyclooxygenase and lipoxygenase. Ketoprofen is a propionic acid derivative.

INDICATIONS:

Dexamethasone Umavet® is indicated for acute or chronic inflammatory processes of various etiologies, ketosis, and therapeutic support downer cow. Inductor of birth in ruminants and swine.

Surgeries: to control pain and post-surgical inflammation.

Colic syndrome: is indicated in cases of colic where surgery is not necessary or is not an available option.

The analgesic effect of Ketoprofen 10% Umavet® is evident within the span of 15 minutes post-intravenous application.

Ketoprofen 10% Umavet® is less toxic and same efficiency than Flunixin Meglumine in the treatment of equine colic.

DOSE AND ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION:

• Horses: Intravenous 1ml per 45 kg/body weight for 3-5 days.
• Cattle: Intravenous or deep intramuscular route at a rate of 3ml per 100 kg/body weight for 1-3 days.
• Pigs, Sheep, Goats and Dogs: Deep intramuscular route at a rate of 1ml per 23 kg/body weight for 1-3 days.
• Frequency and shelf life treatment according to the Veterinarian’s criterion.

WITHRAWAL PERIOD:

Meat: 28 days.
