COMPOSITION:

• Oxytetracycline Hydrochloride......200mg
• Vehicle q.s.....................................1ml

TARGET SPECIES:

Cattle, goats, sheep.

INDICATIONS:

For the prevention and treatment of diseases caused by organisms sensitive to Oxytetracycline in cattle, swine, sheep and goats. In case of pneumonia, gastroenteric infections, and MMA syndrome in pigs. Useful in the treatment of shipping fever (Pasteurella), Anaplasmosis and Actinobacilosis.

DOSE AND ADMINISTRATION:

Deep Intramuscular: 1ml for every 20kg of body weight, Single dose. Not exceed 10ml by application point.

In pigs with more than 100 kg and in sheep and goats over 50 kg it is recommended to divide the dose two application sites to Veterinarian’s criteria in charge.

WARNINGS:

Side effects are mainly gastrointestinal and allergic reactions to photosensitivity, which are common in the group of antibiotics such as tetracycline.

PRECAUTIONS:

• In pigs for food, Oxytetracycline 20% L.A. Umavet® is not recommendable, because it can stain the tissues.
• In dogs is not recommended, as sterile abscesses have been reported in the application site.
• Do not administer to horses due to photosensitivity and allergic gastrointestinal reaction.

WITHRAWAL PERIOD:

• Meat: 28 days.
• Milk: 7 days, after the last treatment.
